Welcome to Through the Pink Lens. We are a family of five—my wife, Kylie; our three children, Emmie, Willie, and Tommy; and me, Steve—navigating the challenges of breast cancer. In October 2024, Kylie’s journey began with a routine postpartum checkup that led to an unexpected diagnosis: carcinoma. Since then, we’ve been learning all we can about Breast Cancer. We have also been learning to lean on each other, accept help, and find peace in uncertainty.
This blog allows us to share our family’s story, document what we’re learning, and offer resources to others going through similar experiences. It’s also a place to express our gratitude for the overwhelming support we’ve received from our community—family, friends, and even strangers—who have shown us love, kindness, and generosity in many ways.
As we move forward on this journey, we hope to offer comfort, encouragement, and solidarity to others facing breast cancer. Whether you’re here for support, inspiration, or to follow along, we’re glad you’re joining us.
